Located on Rumney Hill on the eastern side of the River Rhymney, Rumney Hill Gardens is a quiet, small, formal park established in the 1950s for the expanding community of Llanrumney.

Tucked away behind housing, the park lies on the Rhymney trail, which follows the river northwards from the coast, offering delightful walking and cycling routes in both directions.

Rumney Hill Gardens is one of Cardiff’s Green Flag parks .

Visitor information

The park is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Car parking is available at the park entrance.

Rumney Hill Gardens
  • Formal horticulture: The park has a reputation for its seasonal bedding displays in spring and summer
  • Woodland walk Below the park is a woodland path connecting to the river flood plain and Riverside Playing Fields below.
