Welcome to Cardiff’s Walking for Health scheme.
Walking is easy, free and accessible to nearly everyone, no matter what their physical abilities or health.
Walking for Health is a series of organised led walks throughout the city that are developed to be accessible to people who have done little or no exercise before. A series of regular led walks have been developed with walk leaders and walkers are advised to start gently for a few weeks and build up to something a little more testing when they are ready.
There are many benefits from walking and walking in a group provides not only the physical benefits but also the opportunity for social contact and the support of others.
Walking for Health walks are a chance to make friends and enjoy the fresh air while getting fitter or staying fit. The walks are all short, accessible walks, usually between 1 and 3 miles or 30 to 90 minutes long. The walks are open to all with some being more suited to those with wheelchairs and pushchairs please contact our Co-ordinator for further advice.
